The Before Photo shows plenty of standing water still present on the floor of this suite in Tallahassee. The plumbing break, containing clean water posed no immediate danger of contaminated water. Fast extraction, using a truck-mounted and portable extractors can limit the wicking of water into the walls. The vinyl baseboard trim helped to hold the water at bay, like a shallow wading pool. Our SERVPRO crew, numbering at least three to four team members, can vacate the water as furnishings are being relocated to prevent secondary damages. The After Photo shows that the commercial-grade glued-down carpeting has been removed, the concrete floor dried, and a small flood cut and removal of trim completed.
